“Take me out to the ballgame”

Keene Swamp Bats visiting Prospect Place Keene

At Prospect Place there are many supporters of the Swamp Bats, the local baseball team. We transport folks to some of the games during the summer. We organize picnics at MacDowell Dam in nearby Peterborough and also on the lovely grounds at Prospect Place.

Prospect Place co-sponsors an afternoon of Music at a local park called, “Afternoon In Ashuelot Park.” Trips to area art galleries, such as The Thorne-Sagendorph located at Keene State College, provides a variety of shows throughout the year. The gallery allows us to show prints of famous art works at Prospect Place for art appreciation and to learn about different styles of art.

Down the road at the Keene Senior Center activities include bridge games, an annual cookout, and many other activities.

“Out and About”

Drives to various events and scenic tours of lovely New England towns are some of the residents favorites such as: Holiday Lights in Chesterfield, Halloween scarecrow displays in Jaffrey; and Keene’s Art Walk and Pumpkin Festival.

Although the Chef supervised meals at Prospect Place are exceptional, residents occasionally enjoy dining out at area restaurants. It is a fun and delicious way to enjoy Keene’s large variety of restaurants.
