Prospect Place established in 1874

Our dedicated staff is what makes Prospect Place an ideal place to live. We are committed to providing the most complete, personal care available. We have licensed nurses on staff. Our professional chef and culinary staff prepares three delicious and nutritious meals a day, always taking into account the dietary concerns of our residents. Our full-time program director plans daily activities for all of our residents. Our full-time housekeeping and maintenance staff work diligently to keep our home and resident's room comfortable and clean.

We are staffed around the clock by caring professionals and guided by a Board of Directors dedicated to creating a secure, comfortable environment. We are committed to providing our residents a continued life of social and personal involvement.

Janis A. Barnes, RN BSN is the Executive Director of Prospect Place. Jan joined Prospect Place in 2002. She brings to this position many years of experience working with the older adult population. Jan was the Director of Nursing at Prospect Place for four years which afford her considerable knowledge of our residents and the manner of operations. Jan's prior nursing experience includes being the Nurse Coordinator for ten years in a local hospital and VNA.

Joanna Stiles, Resident Service Coordinator. Joanna joined our staff in December 2008 and we are thrilled to have her here. Joanna attended Pioneer Valley Academy and graduated from Thayer High School in Winchester, N.H. Joanna has several years experience working with Seniors in both Keene and Arizona. Joanna is lively, very creative and a positive person who motivates our Resident to celebrate life and all it has to offer.

 

Susan Lawton, LPN is our Director of Nursing. We have been fortunate to have Sue as a Staff Nurse since 1998. Sue has many years experience working with the older adult population; she has worked in medical/surgical units, Veterans Administration Hospitals, and other Assisted Living Facilities.

 

Norman Spicher, Chef-Culinary Department Manager. Norm joined the Prospect Place staff in 2001. Norm is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, NY. His meals reflect expertise gained through many years of experience in a variety of culinary settings. He finds working at Prospect Place “very rewarding”.

 

Wayne Miller, Maintenance Supervisor. Wayne joined the Prospect Place staff in 2001. Wayne graduated from the State University of New York in Oswego; working in hospitality business starting with Howard Johnsons, his next employment advancement was to Kitchen Manager, then General Manager and later Vice President of Operations for the Susquehanna Motel Corporation. In 1998 Wayne and his wife Meg moved to New Hampshire to start a Bed and Breakfast, the Inn of the Tartan Fox.
